Router table

If you make your own doors, a router table will be very useful.

It is a stationary machine with a router mounted upside down, so the cutter protrudes through a hole in the table surface.

This makes it easier for the woodworker to control the feed rate and direction of feed movement.

Router tables can be used to build raised panel doors, work with small pieces, make dovetail joints, and create a variety of jigs. They are also better for routing the same cut multiple times, routing stopped cuts, and reducing the amount of mess to clean up, since they usually have dust collectors.
